The Co-operative Food Great Breaks - Customer Terms and Conditions

Important: All The Co-operative Food Great Breaks bookings are subject to the following Terms & Conditions.

 

1.      GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

§       Only members of The Co-operative membership are eligible to book a Great Break. A Great Break constitutes one hotel room booked for 2 nights for a minimum of 2 people.

§       The Co-operative Food Great Breaks offers cannot be booked in conjunction with any other offer.

 

2.      BOOKING / CHANGE IN BOOKING

§       Subject to The Co-operative member having a valid The Co-operative Membership card, bookings may be made in either of the following ways:

o      ThroughThe Co-operative Food Great Breaks Website  at  www.co-operativegreatbreaks.co.uk. Bookings can be made 24 hours a day, year-round. To book, choose a date and destination and select from the hotels available. You will need to provide your The Co-operative Membership Number from your Membership card and your personal contact details.

o      Through The Co-operative Food Great Breaks Contact Centre by calling 0844 24 87 178. The office hours are Monday to Friday from 8am to 9pm and Saturday from 8am to 7pm. Office hours are subject to change. All calls are charged at national rates.

§       Bookings and changes to bookings must be made a minimum of 2 working days prior to arrival date and cannot be made directly with participating hotels. To change your booking please call 0844 24 87 178,an administration fee of £20 will apply.

§       Any change to a booking within 2 working days prior to the scheduled day of arrival is treated in the same way as a cancellation (see section 6 on cancellations) and a new booking is generated. 

 

3.      The Co-operative Food Great Breaks OFFERS / PRICES

§       The Co-operative Food Great Breaks currently features hotel breaks in Great Britain (excluding Northern Ireland and central London) and are subject to promotional availability.

§       Our prices are as featured in Section 9.

§       The Co-operative Food Great Breaks prices are based on bookings for two people sharing a twin or double room for two consecutive nights in either a 3- or 4-star hotel. The offer includes breakfast. 

§       Depending on availability, family rooms (two adults with one or two children (aged 10 or under)) may be booked which typically includes at least one extra bed. Children's breakfast is an additional expense of £5.50 per child and is payable directly to the hotel. If a Family Room is not available, then the guest can contact the hotel directly with regards to a cot for their double room, to accomodate the second child and the associated costs.

 

4.      PAYMENT

You will be required to pay a booking deposit at the time of booking, with the balance payable to your hotel on departure. The booking deposit payment may be made in any of the following ways:

4.1.   Visa/MasterCard

o      Visa, Visa Debit, Electron or MasterCard payments can be made for telephone and online bookings.

o      The card number and expiration date is needed to make a payment. A booking deposit is charged to the credit card at the time of booking. The remaining amount of The Co-operative Food Great Break is payable directly to the hotel.The Co-operative Food Great Breaks will appear as a debit on your credit card statement. 

4.2.   Other Payment Conditions

o      Tourist tax and city tax (applicable in London only), products and services as well as any other incidentals purchased during a guest’s stay are payable directly to the hotel.

 

5.      CONFIRMATION

§       If you book online at www.co-operativegreatbreaks.co.ukat the end of the booking process you are asked to confirm that you have read and agreed The Co-operative Food Great Breaks terms and conditions. The final page gives you a booking reference number which is your confirmation number. This will be reconfirmed to you if you have provided an email address.

§       If booking by telephone your booking will be confirmed by issuing you with a booking reference number. You should retain this for your records. We will send you a confirmation via email if you have provided an email address.

§       Please check your confirmation details as soon as you receive it. Contact us immediately if any information is incorrect or incomplete as it may not be possible to make changes later.

 

6.      CANCELLATIONS

§       Should you need to cancel your booking please contact The Co-operative Food Great BreaksContact Centre at 0844 24 87 178. Should you need to cancel outside office hours, please inform the hotel directly and contact The Co-operative Food Great Breakscontact centre at 0844 24 87 178 during office hours to confirm the cancellation.

§       Cancellations received more than 2 working days prior to the scheduled day of arrival will incur the loss of the booking deposit.

§       Cancellations received less than 2 working days prior to the scheduled day of arrival or failure to show will result in the cost of one night’s accommodation (£55 for a 3-star break, £70 for a 4-star break) being deducted from the credit card/debit card in addition to the loss of the booking deposit.

§       Should you decide not to stay for the whole duration of your The Co-operative Food Great Breaksyou are obliged to pay for the owed amount for a two night’s break to the hotel you are staying in.

 

7.      COMPLAINTS AND CONCERNS     

§       We are happy to answer any questions or receive any feedback you might have regarding The Co-operative Food Great Breaksoffer. Please contact us at 0844 24 87 178 or email info@co-operativegreatbreaks.co.uk.

§       If, while you are away, you experience any problems with your The Co-operative Food Great Breaks or have any reason to complain, please inform the hotel in question immediately. Consumer rights apply, so if you are still dissatisfied please notify our customer service team either by phone, emailor post (see below) within 7 working days. Please address your concerns giving your booking reference and full details of your complaint.

 

8.      Other Terms and Conditions

§       The Co-operative Food Great Breaks will not be responsible for over-bookings, oversights or service issues at participating hotels

§       Occasionally we need to make changes to our written communications and our Terms and Conditions and reserve the right to do so. Our website www.co-operativegreatbreaks.co.uk features the most up-to-date Terms and Conditions.

Extra Charges:

There are no extra charges associated with the booking process e.g. there are no booking fees or credit card processing fees. Additional services or other charges incurred by the guest must be paid directly to the hotel on departure.

Notes:The Co-operative Food Great Breaks reserves the right to either reduce or increase prices during the year. However, we guarantee that no price adjustments will be made to any booking retrospectively.
